RED IMPACT: Impact of Partitioning, Transmutation and Waste Reduction Technologies on the Final Waste Disposal
RED IMPACT was a research project in the 6th framework of the European Commission. Its main objective was to assess the impact of partitioning and transmutation techniques on radioactive waste management and geological disposal. The project ended in september 2007
SCK•CEN has contributed to the definition of representative fuel cycle scenarios and has evaluted the impact of advanced fuel cycles in the case of disposal in a clay formation.
