Access to the technical domain

SCK•CEN pays a lot of attention to nuclear safety and control. To protect the people working at the Centre and to prevent accidents, some forms and regulations were created. We also have a brochure and animations that inform you about several safety aspects.

In accordance with the welfare law of 1996 and the Royal Decree of July 20, 2001, concerning the protection against ionising radiation, SCK•CEN organises an information session on safety at SCK•CEN. The contents of the modules depend on the work carried out. The list of modules is announced by letter when ordering your services.

For your own and your employees' safety, you will be put through a small, obligatory test to check whether you understood the information. This test will be taken at the main entrance of SCK•CEN. Your employee has to make a minimal score of 70% in order to get access to the technical domain. The test has to be redone every year.
