Post-doc positions

Post-docs are employed by SCK•CEN for a period of 2 years.

Timing

Most topics are published together with the PhD topics in the beginning of the year, however, updates through the year are possible.

Important dates for the 2012 campaign:

• Application files need to reach us before March 31, 2012

• Candidates will be informed about the selection on file by end April 2012

• In case of a positive appraisal, you will be invited for an oral presentation in Mol on May 31 or June 1, 2012

Application procedure

• Available topics for post-doc research are continuously updated on our website.

• When interested, it is advised to contact the SCK•CEN mentor for further information, and register through the website (“apply here” button indicated with each topic). Your file needs to be accompanied by two reference letters. Please not that your application will only be considered when all necessary documents and information are received by us. Deadline for application is mentioned in the section “timing”.

• Your file will be evaluated by the Scientific Council of SCK•CEN. When appraised positive, you will be invited to present your work (for the exact dates, see section “timing”). SCK•CEN does not foresee a reimbursement of travel or accommodation costs to travel to Mol, Belgium. We do offer a webconferencing system for foreign applicants who have difficulties to travel to Mol.

• After this oral presentation, a final decision will be taken about your application.
